About
Russell Gordon studied painting and sculpture at the Instituto Allende (San Miguel de Allende, Mexico) and La Universidad de Las Americas (Puebla, Mexico). He received his BA from Bard College and his MFA in Sculpture from the Milton Avery Graduate School of the Arts. He has studied photography with Doug Baz, print making at Robert Blackburn’s Printmaking Workshop, stonecarving with Ailene Fields and welding at the Educational Alliance, the School of Visual Arts and the Art Students League, NYC.
Russell Gordon's work has been exhibited at Canio’s (Sag Harbor, NY), Edith C. Blum Art Institute (Annandale, NY), Proctor Art Center (Annandale, NY), Aaron Davis Hall (Harlem, NY), Magnolia Tree (Brooklyn, NY), Plandome Gallery (Plandome, NY), Greenpoint Gallery (Brooklyn,NY), Better Block Project, (Mt Rainier, MD), ESP Gallery (NY,NY), and Emerge Gallery (Saugerties, NY).
He currently lives and works in Brooklyn and Highmount, NY.
